Embeddable Widget

The CozmoTV widget is a simple flash application that can be embedded in any site, much the same way as a YouTube video. A CozmoTV widget can be limited in the number of channels it carries, or it can provide access to all of the channels in the CozmoTV network. We think of the widget as a bit like a network TiVo® DVR without all the hardware and the subscription fees.

CozmoTV widgets are the pillars upon which the CozmoTV distribution network is built. Each member who embeds the widget in their site becomes a ‘local affiliate’ that reaches a highly targeted audience in much the same way as a local cable affiliate carries content most appropriate to their local audience. Affiliates help us quickly gain the scale necessary to carry a greater supply of content and further improve the network’s channel offerings.

By carrying the CozmoTV widget on their site, affiliates can provide a more engaging video experience that goes beyond the occasional YouTube embed. By including multiple channels of video, CozmoTV lengthens the time in which people stay at a site and provides rich information about what visitors are interested in watching. So, whether you are an individual sharing a few playlists, a charity enlisting donations or a corporation advertising your services, the widget is a powerful addition to your site.

If you are looking to make money from your site, the CozmoTV widget can generate significantly higher CPM and CPC rates than Google AdSense. CozmoTV channels will soon carry interstitial advertisements. The revenue from these ads will be split amongst the content owners, the affiliates and CozmoTV. The bigger the network, the more advertisers participate and the higher the rates CozmoTV can charge for carriage on our network.
